Business as usual 2

Electric car possibilities. Battery recycling possibilities.
So many dreams. So little time. Drive on.

Forget ERoEI. Forget fossil fuel supply system.
Forget global industrial infrastructure.
Recycle, recycle, recycle.

So many global possibilities for solar equality.
Just one of so many.

BUSINESS AS USUAL

More solar, more business as usual, more solar, more BAU. Put up as many solar collecting devices as the earth can bear. Build all the auxiliary equipment to run these devices. Consume by mining, refining, fabricating, manufacturing and transporting all the toys and tools we want to use.
Lament climate change but blind yourself to the energy and resource needs of these devices.
Call yourself green. Call yourself renewable. Call yourself sustainable.

Here we have a copper mine pit. The trucks can use a gallon of diesel every 30 seconds. They are diesel/electric. Maybe we can put solar panels their so we can continue with business as usual. How do you plan to have solar energy collecting devices without fossil fuels. We won't talk about the machinery and getting it made. Of course this is global.

After we dig the pit for the aluminum for our solar panels and all the other tools and toys we want, perhaps we could line it with solar panels. We humans are inventive cusses, we will surely figure away for business as usual.

And of course the old standby - the wind powered diesel/electric truck.
